AWR1243: Which sensor for long range detection

Hi,

The FOV is a property of the antenna. The AWR1243BOOST is an evaluation board that has an AWR1243 sensor and PCB antenna. With this antenna you can probably reach about 150-200m. For larger range you would need to design a custom antenna.

My company don't have knowledge  in RF antenna design. Does TI can design custom antenna or can you advice me any company which can provide that services?

In fact I would like to get information about estimated precision after antenna design (velocity, range resolution, AoA, ...). 

Are there other module than the AWR1243 which can fit my needs?

What is the application, what type of object are you trying to detect, what velocity, range?

I would like to add the system on drone. The sensor should detect objects at 200m and have less than 1m range resolution.

For the velocity resolution, it should to have 1m/s resolution.

Hi,

You will not be able to achieve this performance with 1 sensor AWR1243. For this type of system you would probably need a cascaded sensor.

I recommend you check with some of our third party network such as Smart Radio Systems

About FOV, I don't really understand the FOV information. It is written +-70°, what does it mean? It is approximately 70° or it is 140°?
