AWR1642: Where can I find info on generating random numbers with the TRNG module?

Hello,

I am attempting to generate true random numbers, but I'm unable to locate information in the user manual on making use of the MSS's TRNG module. 

I see references to "reg_trng.h" and all of the register names and their memory offsets. However, there are not any descriptions of these register in the example code or in the technical reference manual.

Where can I find information on generating random numbers?

Also, are General Purpose and High Security devices both capable of generating random numbers?

    Hello Erik,

    Applications running on only High Secure (i.e. HS) devices can access the TRNG module, and hence that information is not available in the Technical reference manual. In case you have a HS device, kindly get in touch with your local TI sales representative for collateral support on secure devices.
