AWR1843: question on glitch in RawData

Part Number: AWR1843

Hello. I am Hyunwoo Seo.

I am having some trouble developing a 3T/4R TDM MIMO configuration for a radar sensor based on AWR1843 chipset.

When I stream ADC raw data from the board, I get the data in which there seems to be some sort of glitches at some initial samples.

These glitches exists only in the data for an specific Tx/Rx data (Tx2/Rx1 only. there is no such glitches in data of other Tx/Rx channels).

There seems to be some issue on ADC timing or LVDS streaming.

I would like to get an advice on what this might come from.

The following is the chirp config i am using.

  • Hello Hyunwoo Seo,

Is the issue seen in all the chirps with Tx2/Rx1 or is it seen only occasionally? Can you also share the time domain plots with other Rx channels?

Could you try the following experiment:

    1)  Increase the HPF cutoff frequency to 700Khz/700Khz

    2) Reduce the TX start time to 0usec.

    3) Set the Tx backoff to 6 dB

    Regards,

    Vivek
