IWR6843AOPEVM: IWR6843AOPEVM Unable to connect to serial port in UniFlash.

I have a IWR6843AOP EVM board. I am trying to run the Out of Box Demo but I failed to get UniFlash to detect the EVM board.

I have followed all the steps like setting the switches S1, S2 and S3 and I have installed all the necessary SDK, drivers, etc. as well. My Device Manager also able to detect the COM ports too:-

I have search through the E2E forum and gone through all the steps suggested in other threads without any lucks. I have also tried on different computer (both Win10 and Win7).

Any other suggestions?

I am using the latest tools and SDK:-

- uniflash 6.1.0

- mmwave sdk 3.5

- mmwave industrial toolbox 4.5

I also tried to use it with mmWave Visualizer Demo but I stucked at 'Connecting 2 of 2 targets'. Any suggestions?

I seems to be able to receive data using TeraTerm but I guess I got a wrong firmware for the board. My board is IWR6843AOP EVM but the message that I received from the board is xWR64XX. Any suggestions to solve this?

Hi,

Did you press the "SEND CONFIG TO MMWAVE DEVICE" button in the configure Tab? The data COM port shows a green connected status only after the demo firmware starts sending point cloud output, for which you need to send the input configuration using the "SEND CONFIG..." button.
You can reprogram the binary on the device as needed, please follow instructions in linked video. Ensure there are no other applications connected to the COM port prior to flashing.

1. Yes, I did press the "SEND CONFIG TO MMWAVE DEVICE" button at the bottom right corner.

2. I have followed the instructions of the video to reprogram the binary on the device but Uniflash doesn't seem to be able to detect the serial port. I have checked many times about the steps and I even tried on different PC (both WIN10 & WIN7). Also, I have tried using different USB cable also. But none of these seem to get UniFlash to detect the board.

Would it be possible that this is a faulty board?
