I am exploring options to map the inside of a large (10m diam, 10m tall) cylindrical gas cell. Ideally I would be receiving point cloud data, however, range data may also be sufficient. The cell is made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) The sensor will be on the inside wall of the cell. I am concerned whether or not the sensor will be able to detect that the plastic bag is there. I read some experiments on TI's website with glass and drywall but have yet to find any data on plastic detection. I know this is a niche use case, but I am trying to explore all my options. Pleas let me know if I have not made myself clear.
