Potentiostat to measure nA Current

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA190

Dear All,

We are working on Chemical sensing project were a three electrode Potentiostat is used. The current range is from 20nA to 20uA approximately with a resolution of less than 10nA.

Can you suggest the right part?

Thanks and regards,

Paul

  • Paul,

Our best current shunt amplifier for measuring small current ranges is the INA190. That said, even this device exhibits input bias currents in the nanoamp range. Given the resolution you are targeting, I worry that this may inject too much error into your measurement on the low end to be acceptable. If this is the case, I would recommend looking into our instrumentation amplifier portfolio to get down to this range.

  • Hello Carolus Andrews,

Thank you for the quick reply.

As you suggested I shall go through the instrumentation amplifier portfolio and check.

    Regards,

    Paul
