  • I had a requirement where i need to change the IP

    You should make sure the IP address on your PC is set to 192.168.33.30. This IP address is set in the DCA1000EVM FPGA so you need to make sure your PC address is set accordingly.

    but i cant see fpga version below , also i am unable to ping 192.168.33.180 which  is default ip of DCA1000 right  from my pc where i have set ip to 192.168.33.30

    I cannot see your screenshot in your previous post. Please upload the image again so I can see it.

    With regards to your question on the IP address, this cannot be changed. The address is set in mmWave Studio and in the FPGA firmware. You will need to set your PC IP address to 192.168.33.30.

    Please try using the capture demo lua script found in this folder location:

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\mmWaveStudio\Scripts

    Use this script: DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua

    Refer to the DCA1000EVM Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to use this script. The Quick Start Guide can be found here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/spruik7/spruik7.pdf

    I would recommend the following changes based on your setup diagram.

    1. Remove the USB hub from your setup. Use two USB cables to connect the the AWR1843BOOST EVM and the "Radar FTDI" port of the DCA1000EVM to your PC. The FPGA-JTAG USB cable should not be connected when using mmWave Studio.

    2. The mmWave Studio laptop should be disconnected from the ethernet switch connecting it to the Internet.

    Your current setup could be impacting the demo script from executing without error.

    we have done the changes as asked 

    cat laptop and the radar dca board usb ports connected directly to cat laptop usb. the network connection to internet removed and there is a wifi connection. there is a network connection from the cat laptop to dca board from a usb to network connection. 

    but still getting errors while running script from mmwave studio:

    It looks like you are attempting to remote into the laptop that is connected to the DCA1000EVM and AWR1843. You will need to work directly from the the Windows laptop and not use the remote connection for executing the demo script.

    With regards to the DCA1000EVM connection step failing, have you confirmed that the IPv4 address on the PC connected to the DCA1000EVM has been changed and set manually to 192.168.33.30. This has to be done in the Windows Network Connections and cannot be done using the LUA shell. This step is detailed in the DCA1000EVM Quick Start Guide, found here: https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/spruik7/spruik7.pdf

    Please make sure to set the IP address for the Ethernet connection that is linked to the DCA1000EVM. It looks like your may have two physical Ethernet connections in your setup, so please make sure to modify the network adapter properties for the network cable attached to the DCA1000EVM.
