PGA302: Max Bridge resister value

Part Number: PGA302

Dear team,

My customer want to use PGA302 for their pressure sensing. and they want to know the range of bridge resister value.

Bridge supply voltage of PGA302 is 2.5V and supply current is 8.5mA . So Min value of bridge resister is 300 ohm . Is it right?

And then, Is there recommended Max value  or limitation value of bridge resister? please let me know your opinion.

Thank you.

  • Hi Dino,

Yes, that is correct. The minimum total impedance of your resistive bridge should be greater than 300ohm. There technically isn't an upper limit from an excitation standpoint. I have seen bridges in the range of 5kohm (fairly common) to 10kohm. As long as the span of the resistive bridge output falls within the input range of the VINPP/VINPN pins it will work just fine.

    Regards,
