MMWAVEICBOOST: uniflash and demo visualizer cannot connect to UARTs exposed by mmwaveicboost (IWR6843ISK-ODS)

I have been testing mwaveicboost+iwr6843isk-ods on windows-10 and windows-7 where the issue exists.

iwr6843isk-ods by itself connected over USB works smoothly (flashing, data reception) with point cloud demo.

But when iwr6843isk-ods is mount over mwaveicboost, no data seen over the Data UART Port in functional mode. As mentioned earlier also flashing fails in flashing mode with mwaveicboost+iwr6843isk-ods. Connecting the mwaveicboost+iwr6843isk-ods to Windows pc does create the UART ports in device manager.

Hello Charles,

We have IWR-6843-ISK and IWR-6843-ISK-ODS both show the same issue with mmwaveicboost board.

The first time i got the sensors i tested  IWR-6843-ISK+MMWAVEICBOOST where it got flash smoothly and i was able to run demo. After that for the second time when i put setup in flashing mode it gave error report earlier and stopped to work altogether.

Now both  IWR-6843-ISK and IWR-6843-ISK-ODS work in standalone mode but fail when connected to mmwaveicboost. The mmwaveicboost displays UARTs when power plugged and also has LEDs lit on the board. What could be the fault , is there a way to factory rest mmwaveicboost board to recovery from this?

HI,

UART ports only show up when you have the MMWAVEICBOOST and the Antenna board. You wont see the UART ports with just the MMWAVEICBOOST.

Can you please retry it?

Hi,

Ok i will perform the test again only with the MMWAVEICBOOST board. 

Can u confirm the SOP postions , the usb port to be used on board, ans switch positions again, so i dont to anything wrong.

After your provide answer to my question i will perform the test again.

Reprograming the XDS110 should work independent of the switch or SOP settings.

I tried again on a windows-10 system using cli  but board fails to get detected. Find attached screen shot.

It appears the XDS110 programmer part of the carrier board is damaged. Please replace the MMWAVEICBOOST.

Is there any reason for the board to get damaged in just 1 day of flashing. I have just flashed the sensor card with it. Can a new board be claimed under warranty.
