CCS/IWR6843: Building gets stucked

Part Number: IWR6843

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear Experts,

if I try to build a lab project from the toolbox which is using the DSP, then building gets stucked during the mss part. The building of the dss works properly.

The building of hwa (only mss) projects works also without any problems. If I cancel the build and try it again it shows me "Build Finished" immediately but I have big doubts that this is correct. Moreover, using rebuild I have the same issue again.

I have read another post about this topic but that solution doesn't work for me because I don't use Google Drive at all.

Thanks & regards

Lukas

  • Hi Lukas

Can you specify which lab you are using? Also can you post a screenshot of your console when this error occurs?

We'll need more information in order to assist you.

    Regards,

    AG

  • Hi Akash,

thanks for your quick reply. I'm using the area scanner lab from the latest industrial toolbox (4.5.1). I tried other labs as well but as I said before,  the issue occurs for every lab which is split into dss and mss project not for the others (only mss using hwa). The console output is as follows.

    Thanks & regards

    Lukas

  • Hi Lukas,

My sincerest apologies for the delay. Inclement weather took the majority of us offline for a few days.

In response to your question, what folder are you building out of? Based on the message "Blocked: The user operation is waiting for background work to complete", I would be led to believe that you are either using a folder that is synced using a service similar to google drive (dropbox, icloud, onedrive, etc), or that some other application is doing an operation on this folder location that is preventing CCS from building here. I believe moving your workspace to a different folder location will likely solve your problem.

    Best Regards,
    Alec
