For a chirp signal what is the power consumed vs radiated power by the antenna? what should be the input power supply ratings?

    Hello,

    You can find the worst case power consumption numbers in table 5.6 of the device datasheet. The power consumption will be heavily influenced by your sensor configuration (number of TX/RX pairs enabled, TX output power settings, duty cycle, etc), but it should not exceed the numbers specified in table 5.6. You should design your system to meet these ratings. The input supply on the AWR1843BOOST power jack is 5V and >2.5A.

     

    Details on the antenna gain can be found in section 2.7 of the AWR1843BOOST user's guide. The peak gain is around 10.5dBi. Please read through this guide carefully as it should help answer many of your questions, such as the input supply rating.
