IWR6843ISK: Adding breakpoints for debugging

Hello,

I am trying to debug the vital signs monitoring code in the vital signs lab using Code Composer Studio. I am unable to see the breakpoints in the breakpoints window while in CCS debug mode. Here is the screenshot for the same.

What could be the reason for this?

The other issue I am facing is that though the breakpoints are enabled, the code doesn't stop at any breakpoint . Please let me know how I can fix this issue.

Hi Anjali,

1. To begin with, please ensure that you're following the instructions to run the demo in CCS debug mode. These are available in the user guide section 4. Execute the lab under "Expand for help with Debug mode". You'll need to click on this item to open the debug instructions. It is critical that you flash xwr68xx_ccsdebug.bin on your EVM before CCS debug, as explained in this section.

2. By default, the code has O3 optimization enabled which does not allow step debugging hence CCS is unable to put a breakpoint on individual instructions. To enable step debugging, you will need to rebuild the code with O3 optimization disabled.
