Hi there,

We are using AWR1243 boost and TDA3X devkit from D3 engineering. And we found interfacing schematic in the ineternet.

I am not sure is it right or not. Do we really need DIB and VAB? Interface schematic attached here FYI. Please suggest.

Hello Harish,

In the above block diagram I see the 1243 and TDA3 board interfacing directly, where do you see the DIB / VAB being used? The devkit from D3 does not need DIB / VAB boards. You can get more details from D3 engineering directly.

They said for AWR1243 boost board needs DIB and VAB to interface it with TDA3x development kit.

I am not getting any details of DIB and VAB, can I proceed as per the block diagram?

Hello Harish,

That thread is referring to the AWR1243BOOST board. But if you are using the module from D3 engineering , that is a different board design and does not need DIB/VAB.

We are using AWR1243BOOST board only, can I tap the connection from this board and connect it to TDA3X board as shown in the block diagram?

Hello Harish,

Have you got the TDA3x board from D3 engineering then? High speed lines like CSI cannot be wired across boards, they will have signal integrity issues. If you are getting the TDA3 board from D3 engineering, then I suggest you get AWr1243 +TDA3 platform from them.
