MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: Real-time imaging using the cascaded radar

Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Hello,

On this page (www.ti.com/.../TIDEP-01017) it says that "To use the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM to develop radar real-time SW application, please read the TIDEP-01017 design guide."

However, in this design guide I cannot find any discussion on real-time imaging. It says the software being used in Vision SDK, but when I download and install it, I found it really hard to get started with. In the user guide a totally different board is being demonstrated, I have no clue how to use this SDK. For example, which one should I run (it seems there is no EXE file like the Mmwave Studio)?

Do you have some other guide on how to implement real-time imaging using the cascaded radar?

Thank you!

  • Hello Yiran,

Are you referring to this user guide in TIDEP-01017? The real time demo is provided for AWR1243P cascade setup here. If you have a MMWCAS-RF-EVM with AWR2243P sensors, the run time demo is not yet available. We are currently working on planning this support but the release time is not yet available.

The reference design provides a processing foundation for a cascaded imaging radar system. In case you want to explore TIDEP-01017, I would suggest creating a new thread for this one, so that it is assigned to the right group (with TDA2X as the part number).

As far as mmwave studio is concerned, this is architected only for offline processing.

    Regards,
