TMP300: Max current of output pin

We have received inquiries from customers regarding the output current of the TMP300. I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice.

What is the maximum value of the current that can be passed through the OUT pin of the TMP300?

Hi Ryotaro Fukui,

Since the output pin on the TMP300 is an open-drain pin, the maximum current that can be handled is up to 5 mA. Please be sure to choose the appropriate power supply and pull-up resistor for this current limit.

For a reference, please see the example application diagram on page 1 of the TMP300 datasheet.
