AWR1642BOOST: How much time is needed inbetween frames to successfully perform its runtime calibrations?

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hello,

We are trying to run our sensor at a fairly fast frame rate of 33 miliseconds. We want to assure there is enough time to execute the runtime calibrations in between frames, as this is the moment in which they are executed. How much time is needed to successfully run these calibrations? Is 33 ms too fast of frame rate for calibrations to work properly?

More specifically, we are concerned regarding the automatic rx gain calibrations made as they relate to heat. From what is understood, every 10 degrees of change causes another automatic gain calibration to take effect. Our sensor seems to be performing worse as it heats up, possibly due to the lack of recalibrating from not having enough time in between frames (or other unknown causes).

Any information you could provide would be great.

Thank you!

Jason
