LDC1612: Long distance - inductive sensor

Part Number: LDC1612
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1614

Good morning,

I need to implement a linerar position sensor to measure a displacement of 195 mm on a run of 235 mm.

The inductive part would be a solenoid on which a cylindrical tube slides.

I red that LDC1612 has a limitation of 10 cm.

As it cannot be used on a stroke of 195mm, I wonder if using the two channels of the module, it would be possible to detect the position with a resolution of 50 um, dividing the measuring range in two or alternatively using a LDC1614 in 4 parts?

There may be problems with mutual magnetic coupling?

Could there be dead bands between one solenoid and the next?

You have already done tests of this type?

Thanks in advance
