TMP117: Connect 10 GPIOs of a microcontroller to ADD0 pins of 10 pcs. TMP117

Hi Team,

A customer will use 10pcs. of TMP117 in their application. He would like to connect each ADD0 pin of the TMP117 to 10 GPIOs of a microcontroller and then just toggle the appropriate GPIO pin to select which TMP117 is being addressed. Will this work or does the TMP117 read the ADDR pin at power-up, and never read it again?

Hi Danilo,

I am checking with the design team to find the exact behavior of this address pin ADD0 to see if this is feasible.

In the meantime, can you check with the customer if it is possible that the customer can use an I2C expander to achieve the same operation?

Hi Danilo,

I have confirmed with my team that the address pin ADD0 is sampled at the start of every communication. This should be feasible.
