Hi, TI expert.

The customer has a question as follows.

It seems that OPT3101EVM is measuring the amount of light using "SFH213".

Can the SFH213 output value be viewed directly from the OPT3101EVM GUI program?

Is Amplitude item Law data of SFH213 output value?

please answer about my question.

    Hi Grady,

    SFH213 is a photodiode and not a distance sensor. As such distance and phase is computed by the OPT3101 by computing phase difference between LED and photodiode. Viewing photodiode current is not possible and also should not be needed. The amplitude value given by the OPT3101 can be used to determine the amount of light received and the strength of the signal.
