IWR6843ISK: Connection Problem

Hi Sir/Madam,

I want to connect the IWR6843ISK to the MMWAVEICBOOST for the people counting design. 

Based on the people counting user's guide, it says that 'using the ISK or ODS module, both 60Pin connectors will be used'.

But there is only one 60Pin connector (on the IWR6843ISK) that can be connected to MMWAVEICBOOST.

Right now, I have been struggling with the IWR6843ISK installing for a long time.

Could you tell me what should I do about this problem?

    Hi Sensen,

    I assume you are referring to the following page from the hardware setup instructions. The MMWAVEICBOOST i.e. the carrier card board has two 60pin connectors on it but the IWR6843ISK/ODS antenna module has either 1 or 2 60pin connectors depending upon the version of the antenna module board.

    Hardware Setup for Flashing in MMWAVEICBOOST Mode

    As noted in bullet#2 in this section, IWR6843ISK rev C or IWR6843ISK-ODS rev B, which are the newer revisions of these antenna modules only have one 60 pin connecter and hence they will plug in only using the right side 60pin connector on the MMWAVEICBOOST. 

    The older versions of antenna modules i.e. IWR6843ISK Rev B or  IWR6843ISK-ODS Rev A, have two 60pin connectors on them so they plug on to the MMWAVEICBOOST using both the 60 pin connectors as mentioned in bullet#1 below.

    Note that there is no difference in functionality because of 1 vs 2 60 pin connectors, it's just how the particular version of the antenna module connects to the carrier card. Since your antenna module has only 1 60pin header, this means that you have a newer version.
