Hello, I am looking to interface the AWR2243BOOST with an external microcontroller for processing of ADC data and control. My knowledge in computer systems is limited so I am trying to interface the AWR2243BOOST with a single board computer such as a Raspberry Pi. I understand the AWR2243 needs to send raw ADC data over CSI/LVDS for the external processing. Is it feasible for a single board computer to act as processor and controller? And if so how could I go about interfacing the AWR2243BOOST with that? To my knowledge most CSI-2 interfaces on single board computers is for image data. Could the data sent by the AWR2243 be analogous to image data?

Hi,

The AWR2243 is controlled through the SPI interface using the mmwave link API. This mmwave link code must be ported to the host.

Regarding data, you are correct, the host must support a CSI interface to receive the data. The processing power required on the host will depend on how many samples per chirp are used. The processing will mostly be FFT type of processing.

The ADC raw data is sent to the host using the CSI-2 standard. So the Raw ADC data is packetized in stanadard CSI-2 frames.
