IWR6843ISK: Vital Signs Configuration

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1443,

Hello,

I was going through the developer's guide for Vital Signs using IWR6843ISK and IWR1443 respectively. In that I came across a difference in the Vital signs configurations sent.

IWR 1443 Vital Signs Configuration                                                                                                 IWR 6843 Vital Signs Configuration

The fifth parameter denotes different functionalities. In the configuration sent to IWR1443, the parameter denotes threshold for gain control whereas in the configuration sent to IWR 6843ISK, the parameter denotes the receiver antenna to process.

What could be the reason for this difference?

Please let me know which configuration should be followed.

Thanks,

Anjali

  • Hello

Intent of Vital signs demo is to show the capability of TI's mmWave Sensors and provide a way to evaluate specific application.

As such  typical implementation document and details of algorithm relevant to the intent are included as part of demo. Implementation details and customization knobs are  provided as is.   Please refer to User's guide, linked document  as well as additional external documents to get a theoretical understanding to implement/modify the demo.

In relation to the specific difference you have highlighted the tables included show the description of the field and two demos bring out different set of parameters, for the missing parameters suitable assumptions would have been made to hard code the implementation.

    Thank you,

    Vaibhav
