OPT3101: FOV Partially Covered

Part Number: OPT3101

Hi Team,

Posting for our customer. How does the output range behaves if the FOV of OPT3101 is partially covered? For example, if the full FOV is covered with an object at 2 meters, the output (after calibration etc.) will be 2 meters. What would be the output value if half of the FOV is covered by an object at 2 meters and the other half was covered by an object at 1 meter?

Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,

Jejomar

  • Hi Jejomar,

OPT3101 will compute the phase shift for all light rays weighted by the strength of the signal and output a single reading per channel. This means that if there are two objects the distance reading will be between the two distances weighted by the strength of the signal from each object.

    Best,
