Customer asked If we pull the CS pin low on the TMP125, then send 8 clock pulses to the serial clock, then pull the CS pin high, then some time later, pull the CS pin low again and clock out 16 clock pulses to the serial clock and read back the reading from the TMP125, what does the data look like?
Does the TMP125 reset its output routine after the CS pin is pulled high?
Would the reading have bytes swapped?
Would the reading have part of one temperature conversion, then another part of a different temperature conversion?
The datasheet isn’t explicitly clear on what happens in this scenario.

Hi Mark,
I expect it to be reset by CS high, but I don't have a device available to test. The datasheet doesn't discuss this, because you shouldn't do it. :) It was not intended to work that way. Please note, if you retrieve only 8 bits, you'll only have 2°C resolution.
