PGA900EVM: Calibration Error6008

Part Number: PGA900EVM

Hello

At the beginning of the calibration i get the error 6008.

I use the PGA300EVM and a USB2ANY board, together with the PGA300EVM software

Greetings

Louis

  • Hello Louis,

What stage of the calibration does this occur at? Are you able to read/write data to the registers outside of the guided calibration tab?

    Regards,

  • Hi Scott,

After the OWI is activated, the program tries to read all registers, this is interrupted with the error message. No i cant read data to the register outside of the calibration tab: as soon as I click on Read on the EEPROM page, only the value 0 is read.

    Regards

  • Hi Louis,

First, please ensure that all of your jumpers are configured correctly for the application that you are trying to test (tables for these jumper settings are in the user's guide). The most important setting for the communication is to close J12, and open J11 and J13.

Next, before initiating OWI communication, on the OWI configuration tab, click the three buttons to configure the baud rate, Rloop, and additional voltage (you may not need to change them, but the buttons need to be pressed each time the EVM is powered on).

Finally, if you are still having trouble with the OWI activation and communication, please monitor the voltage between TP20 and TP39 on an oscilloscope. For the OWI activation the voltage should go below 5.75V, and above 5.95V. For regular communication, the voltage should be above 5V for the highs, and below 4V for the lows (in this range). If the voltage is out of range, you can adjust it using the additional voltage setting in the OWI configuration page to get signals in the right range.

If after this you are still having trouble, please let me know.

    Regards,
