Hi team,

My customer is looking for a proximity sensing solution which put behind the LCD glass.

Detection range: 1m, ±45°.

Can OPT3101 meet the requirement?

Hi,

OPT3101 can meet this type of range and field of view. Usually OPT3101 is used with an 850 or 940nm LED and the glass needs to pass this wavelength well. Please see 7.2 Optical Isolation in https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau305b/sbau305b.pdf for more info on OPT3101 cover glass. If it works well will depend on the properties of the glass.
