Hi team,
My customer is looking for proximity sensing solution which put behind the LCD glass.
Detection range: 1m, ±45°
Can PGA460 support such application? Or any other ultrasonic sensor is suitable?

Hi Miranda,
It is possible to sense through glass. To do this, you will need to make sure there is a good mechanical connection between the transducer and the glass, which can be achieved by adding a little Cyanoacrylate adhesive. Something similar was done in the following application note: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snaa266a/snaa266a.pdf
Although it is possible to sense through glass, the customer will need to run a test to see if this would work for their specific system since there could be system-dependent factors that could affect the effectiveness of this approach. To perform the test, the PGA460 EVM can be used for prototyping purposes.
