MMWCAS-RF-EVM: AWR 1243 Cascade Board

Hi,

I'm working on AWR1243 cascade board. It is configured by mmWaveStudio(tried with version 2.1.1.0 & version 2.1.0.0) in GUI mode. In the capture section, after Triggering the frame, I'm not able to see the captured files and it is giving an error "The number of files captured in the directory is zero! Nothing to transfer! " . I have checked with the FPGA CDONE LEDs on the back of the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM PCB and it is glowing. Binary files are not generated in the SSD itself. Requesting your support for resolving this issue.

    Thanks for your prompt response. I did take a look and I see you're using an older studio and firmware version.

    Can you possibly download the latest mmWave studio package for AWR1243 i.e mmWave studio 02_01_01_00.

    Also, the latest firmware is mmwave DFP_01_02_06_03.

    After upgrading, please try and execute the example scripts for cascade. And make sure to reset the setup a couple of times.

    Let us know your observations.

    Herewith attached the output log from mmwave studio version 02_01_01_00 and with mmwave_dfp_01_02_06_03. After resetting several times, still it shows the same error.

    Hello Ishita,

    While trying with Lua script, I observe that the binary files are generated in the specified directory. But in the setup Json file, "numFilesCollected": 0. Herewith attached the output log from mmwave studio and screenshots of the directory and *setup.json file.

    Thanks for the trying out the example lua scripts. From your mmWave Studio log, I can see you're able to successfully capture raw data and transfer it to your PC and that is also represented by the file size of master and slave data.bin files.

    Ignore the parameter in the setup Json file.

    I would request you take help from these scripts and build on it further to keep the timing of capture in sync.
