I am integrating the DRV5032 as a limit switch for a magnet traveling above the PCB in a parallel direction to the PCB. The "Do's and Don'ts" section of the datasheet do not cover this specific scenario, and I would just like to confirm that this is recommended/ok to do.
For the threshold distance calculation, would it be accurate to use the distance shown by the red line in the image below? If not, what would be the best way of estimating the threshold distance? I can reduce the distance represented by the green line if that will give a more predictable outcome. But the magnet will still have to be slightly above the sensor.
