In 'Section IV. Synchronization Between the Scanner and Radar', two synchronization approaches are discussed. You can either use the SW trigger feature of the radar to control both rail and radar from a common MATLAB application. Or, you can use the HW trigger feature of the radar to trigger the frames at every precise position of the scanner using an embedded real-time solution.

There is a MATLAB toolbox that you can utilize for this purpose.
