Hi, I would like to be friends with you on the TI E2E Support forums . I am currently working on AWR1843Boost and have successfully run it in debug mode. My objective is to read velocity parameters from radar and currently facing issue in sending data from DSS to MSS. The MSS mailbox is not able to receive message from DSS side and the semaphore is not able to render the control.

I am using automated parking project for AWR1843Boost from automotive toolbox inside Labs

Hi,

The demo sends the velocity parameter to the MSS already. You can read them from MSS.

There is a Semaphore_pend in MSS that is triggered when it receives message in mailbox from DSS. That code is stuck in that semaphore infinitely that means no message is coming from DSS to MSS

I am using this Automated Parking project. I have only added System_printf() at places shown below.. The red one is getting executed but the blue one is not.

I understand.

printf takes many cycles and breaks the real time execution.

You can't use this method of debugging a real time system. You should usr some global flags instead.

I tried glowing the DS3 LED inside the function. But I am unable to initialize the GPIO correctly for the same. Can you please direct me to some resources where I can find how to configure GPIOs.

Hi,

If you are trying to initialize GPIO from MSS the best example is unit test provided with the GPIO driver.

Please see

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I got the GPIO driver working correctly. I want to now measure the speed and distance of the objects and glow the LED conditionally. Can you please help me out in that.

I know little bit about TLVs. But not sure which TLV type should be considered for above application. Also all the variable in TLV packet are in uint16_t type. How to convert those to metre or KMPH is also unclear to me.

It would be really appreciated if you can help me with these, please.

Hi Cesar, I am attaching here the values we are getting for different parameters. Let us know which type of TLV will be suitable to get velocity and distance of the detected object.
