AWR1843: Cannot Enable 3Tx simultaneously on mmWave Studio 02.01.01.00

Hi,

I used the AWR1843 and mmWave Studio 02.01.01.00 to enable the 3 Tx operation, but I found that theTX2 button in mmWave studio cannot be chosen as shown below. Can you tell me how to enable the 3 Tx simultaneously on AWR1843? Does it need any hardware modification?

  • When I tried to change the Initial Lua script (DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua) and changed the "ar1.ChirpConfig(0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 0)" to "

    ar1.ChirpConfig(0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1)", the error happened:

    By the way, is it more helpful to enable 3 Tx for through-wood sensing than using only 2Tx? What's the amount of incremental(dBm) about the Tx power?

    I think you have not enabled Tx3 in the Static Config Menu.
