IWR6843ISK: Long Range People Counting Power

Part Number: IWR6843ISK

Hi

This is an inquiry from customer:

On your Resource Explorer website for your mmWave radar 68xx ISK dev.ti.com/.../node , you described:
"The beamforming/beamsteering feature described earlier requires the ICBOOST board to facilitate higher power draw required to use this feature. Using the ISK board standalone will result in poor RF performance. This usually manifests as a noisy point cloud."
I only have IWR6843ISK without ICBOOST. Is this issue only about power? If I splice the USB cable that supplies power to IWR6843ISK and use a separate power supply to power the supply pin of the USB cable, would I resolve the noise problem?
