IWR6843AOP: ros driver demo: no point cloud output

When this happens, it is usually because the AOP is not in the correct mode or needs to be restarted. Furthermore, the AOP runs in standalone mode, do you need the ICBOOST connected? I would prefer you execute the demo without it. Please try the following:

1. Disconect ICBOOST and set the AOP into standalone mode as described here: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/content/mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_7_0/labs/common/docs/hardware_setup/hw_setup_aop_modular_mode_functional.html

2. Ensure that the out of box demo is successful: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/mmwave/mmWave_Demo_Visualizer/ver/3.5.0/

3. Without making any hardware changes, please try the ROS driver demo again.

AOP can run the ROS driver demo successfully without ICboost. The error only occurs when using the three boards together AOP+ICBOOST+DCA1000.

Please explain what the goal is here. Is it to collect ADC sample data over LVDS while the ROS point cloud is running?

It sounds to me like a particular switch is not being set correctly. Can you get this setup working as intended with the Out of box (mmWave demo visualizer) demo before including ROS?

Furthermore, it would be helpful to provide an image of the setup so that I can confirm that all switches and hardware are set correctly before trying to debug the software.
