IWR1843: Can TSW1400 support IWR1843?

Hello Champs,

Can TSW1400 support IWR1843? I found there is no rbf file for IWR18xx in C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_07\mmWaveStudio\HSDCProFiles.

    Hello

    It is  theoretically possible and can done using  devpack  with IWR1843boost boards. However our recommended way is to use DCA1000.

    Customer has a TSW1400 board on hand, if he connected the IWR1843boost to TSW1400, which firmware rfb file could be used? Is there specific rfb file for IWR1843?

    Hello Shine,

    As Vaibhav mentioned in the previous reply, you cannot capture data with TSW1400 alone. In addition to that, you would need mmWave Dev-pack also to be able to connect the capture card to the mmWave device for FTDI connection.

    For details on the rbf file, please refer to the mmWave_studio_user_guide.pdf (Page 7) present at the below location :  ..\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\docs

    The rbf for XWR1642 can be used for XWR1843 as well.

    Also, please note, the maximum capture time with TSW1400 is limited to just 10 seconds. If your customer wants to capture for a long time, they should go with DCA1000.

    One other advantage of using DCA1000 capture card is that you don't need mmWave Dev pack with that (which is required with TSW1400).
