I am currently playing with AWR1443 + mmWDevPack + TSW1400, and I am following the tutorial at [mmWave_sensor_raw_data_capture_using_TSW1400_board_v3.pdf]. Apart from cannot format AWR1443, I also met the problem the mmWave 2.1.1.0 IDE is buggy, I cannot see the output logs windows.  Whether I (1) click run `DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua` it does not show anything   (2). I follow `Capturing the radar data` section in the slides. I get nothing.

1. I get HSDC installed and load in the correct firmware

 

Can I have older version like Radar  Studio version 1.6.2. as shown in the slides? Or could it be the conflict 2.1.1.0 with 3.0.0.14 since I also use cascade mmW.

    Hello Jet,

    mmWave Studio 02_01_01_00 is the latest released version for AWR1443 device and it should work fine. There should be no conflict of one mmWave studio with the other one.

    A couple of pointers here:

    1. DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua is meant for DCA1000 and not TSW1400. In case you want to capture data using TSW1400, you will have to follow manual steps as documented in the guide pointed by you.

    2. While following the slides, where exactly are you stuck? After loading HSDC Pro software and loading the correct firmware, you need to continue the rest of the steps in mmWave studio (Capturing the radar data (2) slide onwards). Have you loaded the firmware in the AWR device and followed all the steps until chirp and frame config?

    3. Regarding the display of "Output" window, click on the "View" tab (top-left) and select "Output".

    Hi Ishita,

    Thanks for point #1 issue out. 

    While for #2, since I cannot pull out "Output" window, I do not know where I wrong, I can follow the all the steps but I cannot see the output log or see signal in HSDC. I know how to pull out Output like #3 since I can successfully see output windows using mmW Studio version 3.0.0.14.

    I believe I install mmWave 2.1.1.0 more than once and it is buggy, that's why I want to install Radar  Studio version 1.6.2.

    Hello Jet,

    We're not supporting any older version of mmWave Studio now. We have addressed a lot of bugs in the past versions and moved to a new version. Hence, mmWave Studio 2.1.1.0 is the latest one and that is what is required. 

    In case you feel you have messed up the download procedure, please check that once again. 

    Regarding the output window, what is the response you're getting when you click on the "output" button in the view Tab? Can you maybe show a screenshot of your studio window?

    there is just simply no response after I click on the "output" button in the view Tab.

    In another windows machine it works anyway.
