AWR1843BOOST: Comparing with AWR2243BOOST on distance and raw data

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243BOOST, AWR1843AOP, , AWR2243, AWR1843

Hi Team,

Can you please check and advise with following request?

"

We are working on algorithms on subjects such as target identification and tracking, and path planning. Regarding the subjects we work on, I would like to ask about the status of the said EVMs in terms of our raw data acquisition and range.

The range of AWR1843BOOST seems to be around 130-150 m. In the AWR1843AOP, examples are generally related to collisions with very close objects. In AWR2243BOOST, it seems possible to increase the range to 350 m by focusing the beam with beam steering. If this information is correct, the EVMs of the 1843 and 2243 BOOSTs are more suitable for us.

Another question is getting raw data. Do EVMs output the detections on radar videos only, or do they provide the option of obtaining raw data, that is, data that is not compared with the threshold value (threholding, detection)? I saw we were able to access the datacube created in 1843 and 2243 BOOSTs but asking to be sure. Because we generally work on signal processing, what we can do with raw data, ie datacube, is much more than determinations.

Thanks in advance
