AWR1642: About RF output power calibration for temprature fluctuation of IC

Hi, all
I'm Tak.

I have some questions about the calibration for temprature of IC.
We are trying to measure EIRP of our module using AWR1642 and control the temprature at the same time.
Then, it could be seems that the Tx power is fluctuated according to temprature.
so,

1. Is the calibration for temprature fluctuation able to be OFF
2. If the system is OFF, how changing is Tx outpot power comprared with the calibration ON?

If you have answer and comments, would you share that, please?

This is additional question, as right figure, the vertical axis is Tx power but unit is "dB".
I think it would be "dBm", is it correct? or it would be gain of Tx power?

Hello Tak,

If you enable the periodic RUN time calibrations, the firmware will compensate /correct for the gain changes across temperature. If this is not enabled then the there would be gain change with the temperature.

This is shown in the figure you have shared in your post. The Y axis is the TX output power in dBm at the TX pin. For EIRP value there would be additional antenna gain.

Thank you for your reply, I understood.
I have an additional question related to above calibration.

The gain correction is continuous or discrete?
Actually I measured the EIRP depending on the IC temperature, and then, EIRP is changing at a certain temperature point.
If you know how to calibrate the output and received gain, would you answer, please?

The change is gain would be discrete, it will happen the moment the calibration happens.
