Camera module OV10650 with SerDes connection as 960-953 over FPD-Link III

Hi

I am working on UB960 and UB953 over FPD-Link III. I am trying to access serialiser UB953, but couldn't access.

I tried to read register 0x5B of Deserialiser UB960 & its reading 0x00.

I have programmed the serialiser ID in register 0x5D and alias address in 0x65. Still I am unable to access serialiser. I am unable to read chip ID of serialiser.

I have read register 0x4E (RX_PORT_STS2) and its value is 0x02 (No FPD-Link III input clock detected).

I have doubt that serialiser is not powered up. Power for serialiser is programmed as Power over Coax.

Do you any documents or schematics for OV10650 camera module?

    Hello Mayur,

    TI is the IC supplier so we would not have schematics for an off the shelf OV10650 camera module supplied by a third party. Can you please check with the camera vendor for schematics of that system? Based on your issue symptoms, it sounds like there is no link between the 960 and 953 here. It could be because the 953 is not properly powered as you say, or it could be due to the configuration of the 960 side. 

    What are you strapping to the MODE pin of the 960 in this system? Also what kind of cable/connector are you using to connect the SER/DES? Can you share any pictures of the setup?

    Hello Casey,

    MODE pin of 960 is strapped to CSI-2 mode with Rhigh open and Rlow to 10KΩ. We are using Fakra cable to connect SerDes

    Hello Mayur,

    Can you please consult with your image sensor vendor on the power requirements for this camera to verify it is powered correctly? Again, we don't have any documentation on this camera from the TI side
