PGA450-Q1: Query Regarding transformer selection and OTP programming details

Hi TI support Team

This is for an parking assistance application (automotive).

We are planning to use the PGA450 based driver along with the Ultrasonic Transducer MA58MF14-7N from Murata. We have queries related to the design and requesting your assistance for the same,

  • Regarding the transformer to be used in conjunction with your driver IC, can you suggest us an transformer for the specific transducer that we have used?
    • We referred the TIDA-00151 eval board sch and user guide and found the following details,
    • Currently we have selected N1342DEA-0008BQE=P3, since the part number from Mitsumi was not available online. Please help to confirm us whether this combination will work. (Any proven design present?)
  • Regarding the driver, we are assuming that the SPI OTP programming is done already while sending the part, please let know if this is not the case.
  • We are currently assuming all the processing parts are taken care of in the driver IC, and the distance data alone can be extracted by UART. i.e. No processing is needed to be done by the external MCU/MPU. Please confirm on this point too.
