IWR6843: Using Single TX and Single RX with mmWave SDK

Is there a way to specify the use of just one transmitter and recevier in the CLI for the mmWave SDK?  We have tried channelCfg 1 1 0 and chirpCfg 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 for example, but we get error -1 from the CLI.  We are beginning to suspect the SDK isn't going to let us do this.
