Sensor for measuring low energy ~0.1V

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Does TI have a sensor for customer application below?

"I am researching materials relate to thermoelectric.
My generator has two surface, one with heated and another with air temperature.
The temperature difference of this two surface make electric output max around 0.1V(DC) but really low current.
And this material works like capacitor that if I connect resistance the V decrease but by removing the resistance I can have V back up.
(Heat one surface -> temperature difference -> generate electric from those two surface)
So I want to use this to actually operate a sensor.
This is because I hear that there are many sensor that can be operate with low energy such as 0.1V.
I asked about voltage booster to see if I can increase my voltage.
And asked if there is any sensor that can operate/activate the sensor with low input of low voltage such as 0.1V."

Thanks in advance!

  • Dear Art -

I am not aware of any part TI offers that operates from 0.1V.

What is the sensor they are planning on using? Sounds like a Peltier device of some type. What other voltages are available to operate a temperature sensor, if that would be of help here and if more detail is available, that would be of help if there are further discussions needed.
