IWR1443: mmWave Studio output window has gone missing, how to get it back?

Part Number: IWR1443

Hi,

We're running mmWave Studio 2.1.1.0 in Windows 10.

Somehow we managed to lose our output Window and can't get it back. We tried View->Output to no avail. I suspect what's happened is the output window got undocked (now opens in it's own separate window) but it's not visible on the Windows desktop, on either monitor.

- Is there a way to reset it back to docked?

- Perhaps there's a Windows registry setting we can try to tweak?

- Anybody know of any Windows utilities to find/move hidden windows?

- Does the output window create a log file anywhere we can look at?

It's very difficult to continue the evaluation without the output window so any tips would be very helpful.

Thanks

  • Hi Brad

    Well that's annoying.

Let's assume the output is open but in a space that's not on screen.

Can you run a View->Output again, (make output active window) and then do a windows-key+up several times? Maybe a combination of win+down,up,up,up or win+up,left,up?

Meanwhile I'll ping my team about this, sorry for the nuisance.

    Regards,

    AG

  • Hi Brad

I discovered that if I did a File->Exit Without Saving Layout from the mmWave Studio menu, then restarted mmWave Studio, I got the window back after doing a View->Output.
