Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1612,
In order to solve the previous issue (https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/802089) , I try to update the EVM firmware. Unfortunately, I got failure.
Steps:
(1) Select proper firmware for LDC1612 RevB
(2) Click "Upload Firmware"
(3) Windows popups disconnect and reconnect hint sound, then "TI USB Input Device" is automatically found and installed with Windows HID driver.
(4) The original COMx port is still there but seems not working anymore. No led indication on EVM board.
(4) Sensing GUI cannot find the EVM anymore.
I tried the following ways.
- disconnect the USB cable and reconnect. Not OK
- Restart the PC. Not OK.
- Restart GUI. Not OK.
- Connect PUR pin with VBUS (refer to FAQ Q36 https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/295036#Q36). Not OK.
- Manually select EVM driver for HID device listed (refer to https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/456128) . Not OK.
I guess the EVM has entered and stayed in a bootloader mode waiting for Flash programming. But I really don't know how to manually do this. I find there is msp430-tools under Sensing Solutions EVM GUI >> PC GUI folder, but has no idea how to use it.
Really a sad story today. Please help.
