DCA1000EVM: The network port is not connected

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1443, AWR1843BOOST

Hi Team,

The customer is experiencing below issue and needs your help.

Customer used AWR1443 E2.0+DCA1000EVM to collect real-time data. According to the DCA1000_Quick_Start_Guide and user guide operations, all steps are completed, but the network port always shows the connection failure. He confirmed that the local connection static IP address has been set to 192.168.33.30. And all other operations in mmwave studio can be done normally.(All the previous steps are also completed, and all packages are also installed.)  He turned off the firewall and anti-virus software, and changed the three network cables. He pinged the set IP address, showing the connection timeout. Customer would like to know how to resolve this issue?

The following is mmwave studio / output print information:

  • Annie,

Your customer needs to check their physical setup. When I connect an AWR1843BOOST and DCA1000EVM to my PC and configure my local PC IP address to 192.168.33.30, I can successfully ping this address.

I used the Windows Command Prompt to ping the address. Please keep in mind though that you are effectively pinging the PC and not the DCA1000EVM.

The customer should review how they set the IP address, specifically the IPv4 settings.

    Regards,
    Kyle

  • Hi Kyleigz,

Customer tried various methods, but the light at the network port have never been turned on.

    1. The customer is certain that all anti-virus software and all firewalls are turned off.
    2. He determined that a static IP address must be set to 192.168.33.30.
    3. He has tried changing the computer, but it still doesn't work.
    4. He has already referenced this link https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/747769
    5. He tried to re-program the internal FPGA program. When using the software to connect the board, the error is as follow:

    6. He has been stuck here for more than an hour while programming Lua. Finally he used the task manager to force the end of the task.

    Request:

    1. He wants to confirm if the network port of this board is broken and then the physical connections are not be connected.

    2. He bought this EVM from disty. Would you help to check is it possible to approve disty to change other one EVM to him?

    Best regards,

    Annie
