DCR011203: The DC-DC converter is not providing the expected 3.3V output despite a stable 12V input.

Part Number: DCR011203

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with  DCR011230U package IC.Which is DCR01 Series, 1-W, 1000-VRMS Isolated, Regulated DC/DC Converter Module.

The DC-DC converter is not providing the expected 3.3V output despite a stable 12V input.

We connected  circuit was like below,

DCDC DCR011203

Pin 1 ,2 : Vs+

Pin 26 ,27 : Vs-

Pin 12 : VREC

Pin 13 : -Vout

Pin 14 : +Vout

Pin 15 : NC : Not connected

Pin 16 :ENABLE

Pin 17 : Error

Pin 28 : SYNC : not connected

Pin 1 ,2 and 26,27 are connected to 12v and GND with 0.1uF capacitor

VREC and EN are shorted and one 1uf filter capacitor is between VREC and -VOUT.

10-kΩ resistor between the ERROR pin and the output voltage(+VOUT).

We given one output load resistor which is 220R and one capacitor value is 0.1uf to +VOUT and -VOUT.

  • Input volatage : 12V
  • Expected output voltage: 3.3V
  • Actual Output Voltage: 100mV - 200mV

I am looking for troubleshooting advice or potential causes for why the DC-DC converter is not producing the correct 3.3V output despite a stable 12V input.

  • Hi Bhavani,

Thank  you for posting. Are you using a PCB with the module soldered down, or you are using a breadboard with loose wire connection?  The above description is confusing. Could you share your schematic?

    Thanks,

    Youhao
