TPS65386001Q1EVM: GUI - Windows driver missing

Part Number: TPS65386001Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hello all,

As stated in the title I am trying to use the TPS with the GUI but I am not able to connect it to the pc, I have installed a driver that I've received within readme.txt as support, but in supported devices my device is not mentioned and also it is not detected.

Do you have any suggestions?

  • Hello Razvan,

When using TI GUIs with EVMs, our first recommendation is to install UniFlash which contains required drivers for the onboard MCU.

  • Hello Florian,

I installed UNIFLASH software it seems that it has some drivers within, but my issue it is not solved, still the EVM is not detected on neither tool.

  • Hello Razvan,

Make sure the COM ports are properly recognized in Windows Device Manager. If so, in the GUI, make sure they also show up under Options > Serial Port. If you see two of them, try the second one. It can also help to close and reopen the GUI as well as disconnecting and reconnecting the EVM. Verify the position of the jumpers that connect the SPI pins to the onboard MCU as well.

If this still does not work, you may need to contact your local field engineering team. Due to this device being covered by NDA, I cannot discuss the specifics about the EVM or its GUI here.

    Best regards,

    Florian
