TMUX6112: Current consumption error on a high temperatrue

Dear TI Experts,

According to the datasheet, TMUX6112RTER IC can operate at high temperatures.
But when we test it, TMUX6112RTER doesn't work properly at high temperatures.
If the temperature rises the current(especially negative) consumption rises dramatically.
We've just connected the +V pin and - V pin (the other pins are disconnected) through an external source to supply voltage and current.
We want to know why current consumption rises at high temperatures.
Is there a possibility that TMUX6112RTERIC was produced defective?

    A couple questions first:

    1. What is the current draw you are seeing and at what temperatures?

    2. Are you using a board when testing this part - and if so is the only thing that is connected to the power supplies on the board the IC? Or are there other passives that could be drawing current.

    3.You indicate that only V+ and V- are connected - so is every other pin floating? Can you confirm?

    So if there is nothing else that could be siphoning off current increasing what seems to be the IC"s current consumption at high temperature - the first thing I would do is match datasheet conditions that is make sure analog input voltage on the analog I/O pins are all 0V or 3.3V as well as make sure that the all the select pins are grounded to 0V as well. This is how we measure the supply current.

    if the logic pins are floating they could have a voltage w.r.t. ground that causes a lot of current to be shunted through the logic circuitry from VDD to GND. Keeping these at very well defined levels (VDD or GND) will minimize the current being drawn.

    Temperature in general also increases supply current because the pathway the supply current  has to travel through becomes more resistive under higher temperature - and to maintain the right amount of power the device will draw more current to overcome this issue at the cost of more current draw. 

    Please confirm the setup and if possible re-run the tests using the datasheet conditions to see if this problem has been mitigated.
