Hi Team,
My customer have a concern.
Please see below:
"I need Simulations models for TMUX7219, S-parameter file.
IBIS model is also not covered all pins,i.w which are required (D,S1,S2 pins)"
I hope you can help.
Thank you so much.

Hi Gerard,
Unfortunately the IBIS model is a single input and single output in this case so I can imagine this will not be enough for s-parameter analysis. I will check with our team to see if there are any available S-parameter files.
Thanks!
Bryan
Hi Gerard,
Can you help clarify which s-parameters you need? Any specific conditions your customer is looking to simulate?
Thanks!
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
My customer said:
"Need S-parameters for Dual Supply(±12 V) and Single Supply(+12 V) over the temperature"
I will be looking forward for your response.
Thank you.
Gerald
Hi Gerard,
Please see attached file for S-parameters for 12V single supply and +/-13.5V dual supply across temp (-40, 25, and 125C). We do not have any s-parameters for +/-12V.
Thanks!
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
I got a response from my customer. He said:
"SPDT is 3 port network.
S4p file is downloaded .
Pls explain the corresponding port details for S4p file.
for provided S4p file ,Ports corresponds to which Pin no of tmux7219?
Port 1:Pin ?
Port 2 :Pin ?
Port 3:Pin ?
Port 4:Pin ?"
We will be looking forward for your response.
Thank you so much for helping us.
Gerald
Hi Gerard,
See below for corresponding pins:
Port 1 is D
Port 2 is SA
Port 3 is SB
Port 4 is not connected to the device
Thanks!
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
My customer sent me a response as shown below.
Please refer:
"Thank you for your Support.
Now i am able to check the insertion loss with provided S parameter file
for below paths
1)D-SA
2)D-SB
We want to simulate the 7.10 Off Isolation and 7.11 Crosstalk as per section in datasheet TMUX7219 .We need S parameters file for these parameters OFF Isolation and Crosstalk.
We simulated the by connecting Port 2 and Port 3 for Isolation but it not meeting Datasheet spec.
So kindly provide the Isolation and Crosstalk S parameter files ."
Thank you so much for helping us.
Gerald
Hi Bryan,
In addition to my previous reply my customer also said:
"Same information I consolidated for previous query.
Kindly cover the S- parameter file
Frequency 0.5 KHz to 40 MHz
Pin 1(D) to Pin 2 (S1) :insertion Loss
Pin 1(D) to Pin 8 (S2) :OFF Isolation
Pin 2(S1) to Pin 8 (S2) :crosstalk
Similarly
Frequency 0.5 KHz to 40 MHz
Pin 1(D) to Pin 8 (S2) :insertion Loss
Pin 1(D) to Pin 2 (S1) :OFF Isolation
Pin 2(S1) to Pin 8 (S2) :crosstalk"
We hope to received your response.
Thank you so much.
Gerald
Hi Gerald,
We do not have any data for low frequency cases (essentially less than 100kHz). If operating at this frequency, the effects you mention (cross talk/insertion loss/etc) are negligible at these low frequencies. If you would like more information about how the device will perform at higher frequencies, you can refer to our datasheet curves which should help provide more detail on how the device will operate across frequency.
Thanks!
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
Thank you for your support.
Please provide from >100KHz onwards
We want to evaluate all the ports and its parameters.
Kindly cover the S- parameter file
Frequency 100KHz to 40 MHz
Pin 1(D) to Pin 2 (S1) :insertion Loss
Pin 1(D) to Pin 8 (S2) :OFF Isolation
Pin 2(S1) to Pin 8 (S2) :crosstalk
Similarly
Frequency 100KHz to 40 MHz
Pin 1(D) to Pin 8 (S2) :insertion Loss
Pin 1(D) to Pin 2 (S1) :OFF Isolation
Pin 2(S1) to Pin 8 (S2) :crosstalk
Thanks and regards,
Vasanth
Hi Vasanth,
The files I sent previously is all we have for the s-parameter models for this device and will support the higher frequency ranges.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
Thank you for your support.
1)
the provided s4p File contains following data for above position of the Switch D-S1
S11 :Port 1 Return Loss
S21,S12 :(Port1 - Port2):insertion Loss data is available
S13,S31 :(Port1- Port3) :OFF Isolation data is available
S14,s41: :Port 1 - Port 4 Which Parameter is covered ?
How can we evaluate Crosstalk between Between Port2 and Port3 ?Is it covered in Provided in S4p file? if it is covered which Sxy(S parameter data) data can be taken for Cross talk.
2)
Please provide s4p File contains following data for above position of the Switch D-S2 also.
Pin 1(D) to Pin 8 (S2) :insertion Loss (Port 1 to Port 3)
Pin 1(D) to Pin 2 (S1) :OFF Isolation(Port 1 to Port 2)
Pin 2(S1) to Pin 8 (S2) :crosstalk (Port 2 to Port 3)
Thanks and regards,
Vasanth
Vasanth,
As I mentioned in my previous post, Port 4 is not connected to anything.
For crosstalk, that would be able to be evaluated using the S23/32 parameters.
Again, I provided what S-parameter models we have for the voltage range/temp that was requested.
Thanks,
Bryan
