TMUX6219: What is the difference between Cs(OFF), Cd(OFF) and Cs(ON)/Cd(ON) in the datasheet

Hi,

Please let me ask you a basic question about "Capacitance" as below.

There are 3 specifications about it on the datasheet.

That is to say,

Cs(OFF) : 40pF(typ), Cd(OFF) : 58pF(typ), Cs(ON)/Cd(ON) : 150pF

Will you tell me the meaning of these capacitance?

Is this means between "each S, D pin" to "GND" in case "OFF"

and between "S" to "D" pin (parallelled ON registance) in case "ON"?

Hello Takumi,

In both cases the capacitance is referenced to GND. The Cx(OFF) describes the loading when the switch is 'OFF' and C and D pins are not connected. The Cx(ON) describes the loading when the path is 'ON' and both Cs and Cd are loaded on the path. To get Con, it isn't as simple as adding both Cs(OFF) and Cd(OFF), since the conductor area will increase when the switch is on, so you'll see a jump from C(OFF) to C(ON).
